About Souk
Souk specializes in antique rugs curated to harmonize with contemporary interiors. Each rug in our collections is selected for its enduring quality and character to serve as a harmonious foundation for elevated contemporary living.
Quality that will never go out of style
In a world of mass production, we celebrate craftsmanship. Our rugs are hand-woven using only the finest materials: handspun wool, silky mohair, and lofty camel fiber—all in naturally warm earth tones or subtly colored using ancient vegetable dyes that soften gracefully.
Indigenous Art and Heritage
Our collections consist of rugs handmade between 50 and 200 years ago by village and nomadic weavers in Persia, Anatolia, and other centers of traditional rug production. These rugs were produced not for commercial sale, but for domestic use—made using wool from the weavers’ own flocks, dyed with locally available plants, and woven with motifs that embody the spirit of the weaver’s tribe or village. It is our mission to foster an appreciation for the weavers whose work—founded on centuries of tradition— continues to bridge generations.
A Harmonious Foundation
We prioritize rugs with expressiveness and originality. Each rug in our collections is a unique work handmade with integrity, cherished for generations, and thoughtfully selected to blend seamlessly with contemporary décor.
